Felicity Jones is playing Agatha Christie in ‘Eleven Missing Days’ movie

A new movie about Agatha Christie’s famous real-life disappearance has revealed its cast!

The Theory of Everything star Felicity Jones will lead the film as author Agatha Christie, with French actor Vincent Cassel playing a retired Belgian police detective (sound familiar?!) who gets drawn into the mysterious real-life case of the Christie’s disappearance in 1926.

Described as a “noir mystery-thriller,” Eleven Missing Days, is set to begin filming in the UK this summer.

The official synopsis tells us: “In December 1926, at the height of her fame, Agatha Christie became front-page news when she vanished in bizarre circumstances from her home. In a case of life imitating art, this whodunnit explores the investigation behind her disappearance, strangely resembling an Agatha Christie novel itself where everyone in her life became a suspect.”

The movie will be directed by Bertie Ellwood (Silo) from a script by Ernesto Foronda (Better Luck Tomorrow) based on Agatha Christie expert Jared Cade’s book Agatha Christie and the Eleven Missing Days.

The cast also includes Nicole Elizabeth Berger (He’s Watching You), Oliver Trevena (The Gorge), and O.T. Fagbenle (The Handmaid’s Tale).
