Watch ‘Little Women’ trailer, featuring ‘Grantchester’ star James Norton!
A new adaptation of Little Women is out later this month.
From Oscar-nominated writer-director Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird), the upcoming movie is based on both the classic novel and the writings of Louisa May Alcott.
Watch the trailer:
Little Women stars Saoirse Ronan (Mary Queen of Scots), Emma Watson (Harry Potter), Florence Pugh (The Little Drummer Girl) and Eliza Scanlen as Jo, Meg, Amy, and Beth March.
The cast also includes James Norton (Grantchester) as John Brooke, Timothée Chalamet (The King) as Theodore “Laurie” Laurence, Laura Dern (Jurassic Park) as Marmee, and Meryl Streep (Suffragette) as Aunt March.
The film unfolds as the author’s alter ego, Jo March, reflects back and forth on her fictional life.
The official synopsis reads: “In [Greta] Gerwig’s take, the beloved story of the March sisters – four young women each determined to live life on her own terms — is both timeless and timely.”
Little Women is released in US cinemas on 25th December and arrives in the UK on 26th December.
Louisa May Alcott’s original novel is available on Amazon.
