Maggie Smith and Judi Dench reminisce in ‘Tea with the Dames’ – watch the trailer!

Four of our most iconic British actresses all appear onscreen together for the first time in a new documentary.

Tea with the Dames follows Dame Maggie Smith, Dame Joan Plowright, Dame Eileen Atkins and Dame Judi Dench as they gather at the weekend retreat that Plowright once shared with Laurence Olivier to reminisce over seven decades’ worth of insights and revelations.

Celebrating their lives and careers, the film opens today in the USA in select cinemas and will be available everywhere on demand from Friday 28th September.

The official synopsis reads: “All four have gone from being fledgling actresses in the 1950s to acting royalty. They’ve watched each other’s careers grow and bloom and have celebrated life’s ups and downs together.

Tea with the Dames invites you to spend time with these acting legends as they talk about their lives and their professional experiences across theatre, television and film.”
