The two actors are best known as Jamie Fraser and Dougal Mackenzie in the historical fantasy drama series, which recently concluded its fifth season.

Described as “two blokes on the adventure of a lifetime,” Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip with Sam and Graham premieres soon on Starz in the US and on Amazon Prime in the UK.

The official synopsis reads: “The journey of Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip with Sam and Graham takes viewers from the heart of Scotland at Glencoe, the site of a great massacre and major clan feud to Inverness and the Culloden battlefield, the site of a great battle and historic turning point, known well to fans of Outlander, that molded Scotland as we know it today.”

Holly Jacobs, Executive Vice President of Alternative and Syndication Programming at Sony Pictures Television, commented: “We are so excited to take viewers on this epic adventure with Sam and Graham.”

She added: “Their bond of friendship and genuine curiosity about the rich culture of Scotland is going to make for an unforgettable journey for all.”

Based on the sixth book in Diana Gabaldon’s series, A Breath of Snow and Ashes, the next season of Outlander was expected to begin filming this summer.

However, the shoot is expected to face delays due to the coronavirus pandemic, which has also halted production on shows like Call the Midwife and Peaky Blinders.

Season 5 is available to watch free with a 7-day trial of Starz on Amazon Prime.
