Beechgrove Garden in Winter – Seasons 1-2 (available from 1st December 2022)

The popular gardening series that celebrates Scottish horticulture and growing conditions. A topical series, Beechgrove Garden deals with the challenges that face gardeners in a practical, down to earth, get-your-hands-dirty manner, all set in Scotland’s challenging conditions.

Success is celebrated but there’s also a lot to be learnt from the failures experienced by the show’s gardening team. If a stunning garden can be grown on a 2.5-acre inhospitable sloping site, then anyone can have a go anywhere.

 

As Time Goes By – Reunion Specials (available from 6th December 2022)

A heartwarming reunion revisiting this long-running sitcom As Time Goes By.

Catch up with Jean Pargetter (Judi Dench, Shakespeare in Love) and Lionel Hardcastle (Geoffrey Palmer, Mrs. Brown) as they manage their families, jobs, and relationships in this beloved, classic series.

Carols From King’s 2022 (available from 24th December 2022)

An annual worldwide broadcasting phenomenon that takes place at the medieval chapel of King’s College, Cambridge, Carols from King’s is a beloved British celebration of Christmas.

Every year, the King’s College Chapel Choir performs a carol service that always opens with ‘Once in Royal David’s City” and followed later on by a new, specially commissioned carol for each year.

 

The King’s Christmas Address (available from 25th December 2022)

King Charles III delivers the first Christmas address of his reign. The King speaks about the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II and his hopes for the future.

 

Mrs. Brown’s Boys – Christmas Special 2022 (available from 25th December 2022)

Celebrate the holiday season with the loudest, proudest mother in Ireland, who likes nothing more than meddling in the affairs of her friends and family.

Mrs. Brown (Brendan O’Carroll) and her boys are ready to celebrate with their annual Christmas special, which is often the most-watched British television event of the season.

 

The Control Room (available from 28th December 2022)

A gripping new thriller set in Glasgow, The Control Room tells the story of Gabe (Iain De Caestecker, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), an ordinary man who works as an emergency call handler for the Scottish Ambulance Service in Glasgow.

His world is turned upside down when he receives a desperate life-and-death call from a woman who appears to know him. With Gabe under pressure to work out who she is, he makes a decision that threatens to have devastating consequences.

This series is written by Nick Leather (Murdered for Being Different, Mother’s Day) and directed by Amy Neil (Call the Midwife).

 

Deadline (available from 29th December 2022)

When Natalie Varga (Charlie Murphy, Happy Valley, Peaky Blinders) stands accused of murdering her husband in cold blood, disgraced investigative journalist James Alden (James D’Arcy, Agent Carter, Broadchurch) finds himself captivated by the case.

The mystery of whether she committed the crime broadens into a darker, stranger narrative as the London setting shifts to Hungarian high society. It’s a crime perfectly designed to cause a press feeding frenzy – the gruesome murder of businessman George Varga in his lavish Chelsea mansion.

James used to be an award-winning investigative journalist years ago but his confidence was destroyed by the case he screwed up which allowed a killer to go free.

Natalie sees in him the journalist he used to be and offers him redemption: the exclusive interview everyone wants if he finds out who really killed her husband. In the tradition of classic noir a key character returns from the dead and becomes pivotal to the mystery.

With the court of public opinion ruling Natalie guilty until proven innocent, can James separate the truth from the fiction?

The tragic case that shocked the nation – Maxine is a true crime drama that examines the investigation of school assistant Maxine Carr and her caretaker fiancé Ian Huntley, who was later imprisoned for the double murder of schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman.

The three-part drama will explore their tumultuous relationship through Maxine’s perspective; why she lied for him and how she became public enemy No.1.
