‘Nothing Like A Dame’ air date confirmed: Maggie Smith and Judi Dench chat about their lives

Joan Plowright, Judi Dench, Maggie Smith and Eileen Atkins will appear onscreen together for the first time in a new BBC documentary this weekend.

Nothing Like a Dame will celebrate the lives and careers of these four iconic actresses as they gather at the weekend retreat that Plowright once shared with Laurence Olivier to reminisce over seven decades’ worth of insights and revelations about their lives and their professional experiences across theatre, television and film.

The one-off 90-minute film is described as “candid, funny, caustic, irreverent, poignant and utterly engrossing.”

It airs in the UK at 9pm on Saturday 2 June on BBC Two.
