There’s an official ‘Outlander’ knitting book!
Ready for winter, an official knitting book has been released for Outlander fans.
The next season of Outlander finally began shooting earlier this year, based on the sixth book in Diana Gabaldon’s series, A Breath of Snow and Ashes.
The eight brand new episodes will premiere on Starz in early 2022, kicking off with an epic 90-minute feature-length opener.

While we wait for the historical fantasy drama series to return, there’s a brilliant book to keep us busy!
Outlander Knitting: The Official Book of 20 Knits Inspired by the Hit Series is out now and you can order it now on Amazon here.
It’s also available on Kindle.
The official synopsis reads: “With twenty projects for apparel, accessories, and home décor that relate to specific episodes, now knitters of all skill levels can recreate their favorite Outlander knits.
“Knit the capelet cowl that Mrs. Fitz gives to Claire at Castle Leoch, warm your feet with Clan Mackenzie Boot Socks, swaddle your bairn with the Mo Chridhe Baby Blanket, and dress your Jamie in a warm waistcoat.
“From beginner-friendly chunky knits to more advanced Celtic cables, each project includes a clearly written pattern, gorgeous photography, and scenes from the set.”
Jamie Stevens from Sony Pictures Entertainment commented: “We are very excited to partner with Clarkson Potter / Penguin Random House on Outlander Knitting.
“The book happens to be a passion project of mine because it not only rounds up and beautifully displays the unique pieces of knitwear seen on the show, but it also encourages fans to tap into their creativity to make their favorite Outlander-inspired knits that they can proudly say they created on their own.
“With projects for beginners to advanced knitters, Outlander Knitting is sure to keep fans entertained when they are watching the show and even when they are not.”
The extended seventh season of Outlander is expected to begin production in Scotland in 2022.
In the meantime, the ninth instalment in Diana Gabaldon’s series of fantasy romance stories was published last month.
Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone is out now.
