‘Poldark’ Season 4 has started filming in Cornwall

Filming has begun on the new season of Poldark.

The Hobbit star Aidan Turner is back as Ross Poldark alongside Eleanor Tomlinson as his wife Demelza for a fourth season of the Cornish period drama.

Adapted by Debbie Horsfield from Winston Graham’s novels, eight new episodes of Poldark will air on BBC One in 2018.

Filming will take place across Cornwall, Bristol, the West Country and locations in London.

The third season of Poldark recently concluded on BBC One, averaging over 7.5m viewers (including BBC iPlayer catch-up requests).

Season 3 will premiere in the US at 9/8c on Sunday October 1 on Masterpiece on PBS.

The complete first and second seasons of Poldark are available to buy on DVD now.

Aidan Turner recently hinted that the series will probably come to an end with its fifth season.
