Prime Video releases first images of new Keeley Hawes thriller ‘The Assassin’
Prime Video has shared first look pictures of Keeley Hawes and Freddie Highmore in Harry and Jack Williams’ latest action-packed, UK Original drama series, The Assassin.
The the 6×60” UK Original Series The Assassin will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland.
What is it about?
According the official synopsis:
Set against the idyllic backdrop of a remote Greek island, the photos show former assassin Julie (Keeley Hawes) and her estranged son Edward (Freddie Highmore) as they are forced to work together in a fight for survival. Amid questions around Edward’s paternity and Julie’s dangerous past catching up with her, the pair are forced to flee the island and go on the run together.
Who is in the cast?
The all star cast is led by Keeley Hawes (Miss Austen) and Freddie Highmore (The Good Doctor). They are supported by Gina Gershon (Riverdale), Shalom Brune-Franklin (Baby Reindeer), Jack Davenport (Pirates of the Caribbean), Alan Dale (Dynasty, Lost) Gerald Kyd (The Split), Devon Terrell (Cursed), Richard Dormer (Blue Lights) and David Dencik (The Ipcress File).
Unsurprisingly, Keeley Hawes is delighted to be back in Greece:

Who is behind it?
The series is produced by Two Brothers Pictures (The Tourist, Fleabag) together with Germany’s ZDF, All3Media International, and Stan in Australia. Keeley Hawes and Freddy Highmore will both act as Executive Producers on the production.
Writing duo Harry and Jack Williams are best known for writing the hit mystery series, The Missing, Baptiste, The Tourist, and The Widow.
