Queen Charlotte’s India Amarteifio to play a lead role in new film

Queen Charlotte star India Amarteifio has been cast in a lead role in a new film Into The Deep Blue.

The actor, best known for playing the title role of young Queen Charlotte in the Netflix spin off series, will appear opposite Damian Hardung (Maxton Hall – The World Between Us) in the drama, according to Deadline. Although Queen Charlotte was met with critical acclaim, a second season of the series has yet to be commissioned. 

What is it about?

The film is a coming-of-age drama about two friends called Fiona and Nick, who meet at support group and try to navigate the difficulties they face in their lives after experiencing great loss. They find themselves growing closer and facing the dilemma of whether to develop their relationship, given the timing and their difficult circumstances. 

Who is behind it?

The film was written by Jennifer Archer , will be directed by Jonathan Wright and produced by Aletha Shepherd.

When will it be released?

We have yet to hear of a release date. Bridgerton seasons 1-3 are streaming on Netflix, along with Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
