‘Sanditon’ Season 1 is out now on DVD!
Sanditon is now available to buy on DVD and Blu-ray.
Based on Jane Austen’s unfinished final novel, the new period drama starred Theo James (Downton Abbey), Kris Marshall (Death in Paradise) and Anne Reid (Last Tango in Halifax).
Sanditon premiered in the UK last autumn and the Season 1 finale aired in the US last weekend.
Fans can now own all eight episodes on DVD, with the complete first season recently released on DVD on Amazon here.
The official synopsis reads: “Sanditon tells the story of the joyously impulsive, spirited and unconventional Charlotte Heywood and her spiky relationship with the humorous, charming (and slightly wild!) Sidney Parker.
“When a chance accident transports her from her rural hometown of Willingden to the would-be coastal resort of the eponymous title, it exposes Charlotte to the intrigues and dalliances of a seaside town on the make, and the characters whose fortunes depend on its commercial success.
“The twists and turns of the plot, which takes viewers from the West Indies to the rotting alleys of London, exposes the hidden agendas of each character and sees Charlotte discover herself… and ultimately find love.”
Sanditon is also available on Blu-ray on Amazon here.
Jane Austen’s original 11-chapter manuscript, written only months before her death in 1817, was brought to screen by award-winning writer Andrew Davies (Pride & Prejudice, Les Misérables).
ITV recently revealed that they wouldn’t be renewing Sanditon for a second season.
Fortunately, it looks like the show could still return on PBS!
Sanditon is also available to watch on Amazon Prime.
