1950s murder-mystery ‘See How They Run’ reveals incredible cast

An amazing ensemble cast has been announced for See How They Run.

The new murder murder movie is set in London’s West End in the 1950s.

Leading the cast are Sam Rockwell (Moon), Saoirse Ronan (Brooklyn), David Oyelowo (A United Kingdom), Ruth Wilson (Mrs Wilson), and Adrien Brody (King Kong).

They’ll be joined by Harris Dickinson (The King’s Man), Sian Clifford (Fleabag), Jacob Fortune-Lloyd (Wolf Hall), Shirley Henderson (Stan and Ollie), Reece Shearsmith (Inside No.9), Paul Chahidi (Twelfth Night), Pearl Chanda (I May Destroy You), Charlie Cooper (This Country), and Pippa Bennett-Warner (Harlots).

See How They Run sees plans for a movie version of a smash-hit play come to an abrupt halt after a pivotal member of the crew is murdered.

When world-weary Inspector Stoppard (Rockwell) and eager rookie Constable Stalker (Ronan) take on the case, the two find themselves thrown into a puzzling whodunit within the glamorously sordid theater underground, investigating the mysterious homicide at their own peril.

Directed by Tom George (This Country), the movie was filmed at a number of famous London theatres earlier this year, including the Dominion Theatre, St. Martin’s Theatre, and the Old Vic Theatre.

George describes the film as a “thrilling, smart, funny murder mystery,” and says the cast have been “a total dream” to work with.

Katie Goodson-Thomas and DanTram Nguyen, heads of film production at Searchlight, added: “We have been enamored with Tom George and his work with the BBC for years.

“His knack for bringing stellar performances from an ensemble cast across multiple genres made him the perfect choice to lead the talented team of See How They Run. We are pleased to welcome several members of the Searchlight family back to the fold like Saoirse, Sam, Adrien and David for this entertaining whodunit.”

See How They Run will be released in cinemas in 2022.
