‘The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco’ return date confirmed

ITV has announced when new episodes of The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco will be shown in the UK.

The follow-up to ITV’s hit crime drama The Bletchley Circle series premiered last July.

All eight episodes of the San Francisco spin-off were made available in the USA on Britbox, but only the first four episodes were shown in the UK last summer.

The remaining four episodes will begin airing at 9pm on Friday 26th April on ITV.

The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco features two of the original lead characters – Julie Graham as Jean and Rachael Stirling as Millie – in America as they join up with two American codebreakers to investigate a string of new murder cases.

The official synopsis for the show reads: “Set during the thrilling social change of the mid-1950s, The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco captures the lives of four remarkable women gifted with extraordinary intelligence, breathtaking capacity for pattern recognition, and a genius for decryption.

“Years after secretly serving during WWII as code-breakers, they turn their skills to solving murders overlooked by the police.”

Originally airing between 2012 and 2014 on ITV and PBS, The Bletchley Circle told the story of four women who worked as codebreakers at Bletchley Park, England during the early 1950s.

The Bletchley Circle is available to buy on DVD on Amazon.
