‘The Crown’ Season 2 gets star-studded world premiere in London – watch!

The world premiere for the second season of The Crown took place in London recently.

10 new episodes of the biographical period drama will be available to watch on Netflix tomorrow, covering the period from 1956 to 1964.

The series tells the story of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, played by Wolf Hall actress Claire Foy, alongside former Doctor Who star Matt Smith as Prince Philip.

Netflix hosted the world premiere of Season 2 at London’s Leicester Square on November 21.

The official synopsis for Season 2 reads: “With the world undergoing great changes, a damaged British monarchy must confront its past in order to have a future. ”

It was recently announced that Broadchurch star Olivia Colman will be taking over from Wolf Hall actress Claire Foy as Elizabeth in the third and fourth seasons.

Creator/writer Peter Morgan intends for The Crown to run for a total of 60 episodes over six seasons.
