The Crown returns on Netflix this weekend and Netflix has put together a handy recap!
10 new episodes of the award-winning period drama series about the reign of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom will be available to watch exclusively on Netflix worldwide from Sunday.
The official synopsis for the fourth season reads: “As the 1970s are drawing to a close, Queen Elizabeth and her family find themselves preoccupied with safeguarding the line of succession by securing an appropriate bride for Prince Charles, who is still unmarried at 30.
“While Charles’ romance with a young Lady Diana Spencer provides a much-needed fairytale to unite the British people, as the transformation from teenager to Princess of Wales takes place, it is anything but a fairytale for Diana.”
Olivia Colman (Broadchurch) and Tobias Menzies (Outlander) are back as the Queen and Prince Philip, alongside Josh O’Connor (The Durrells) and Helena Bonham Carter (The King’s Speech) as Prince Charles and Princess Margaret.
Before we start bingeing the latest episodes, let’s remind ourselves of the story so far with Netflix’s official three-minute summary of the key moments from last season.
