Amazon Prime Video’s new period drama movies in April 2023
Another month, another selection of new movies and TV series to watch on Amazon Prime Video in the US!
The complete list of additions for April 2023 is as massive as ever, so here we’ve selected the best titles for fans of historical dramas, British TV, and classic movies to add to their watch list.

Charlotte Brontë fans can enjoy 2011’s movie adaptation of Jane Eyre, which starred Michael Fassbender, Mia Wasikowska, Jamie Bell and Judi Dench, then catch another of Dench’s great film roles in 2013 drama Philomena.
There’s a double-bill for Leonardo di Caprio fans too, with James Cameron’s 1997 epic Titanic and Martin Scorsese’s Howard Hughes biopic The Aviator from 2004.
Elsewhere there’s an all-star cast in the 2011 movie version of Cold War thriller Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, which features Gary Oldman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Colin Firth, Stephen Graham, Tom Hardy, Ciarán Hinds, Kathy Burke, and the late John Hurt.
Then later in the month, the fifth and final season of Amazon’s 1960s-set comedy series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel arrives too.
