The complete list of Paramount+ additions for May 2023 is as massive as ever, so here we’ve selected the best titles for fans of historical dramas, British TV, and classic movies to add to their watch list.
Steven Spielberg fans can enjoy two of the director’s classic movies this month, with 1997’s Amistad, based on the events in 1839 on the Spanish slave ship La Amistad, and 1998’s epic World War II drama Saving Private Ryan.
Other movies to watch set in the Second World War include Liza Minnelli’s iconic film adaptation of the musical Cabaret from 1972, and Brad Pitt’s 2016 romantic thriller Allied.
Halloween might still be six months away, but if you’re looking for something spooky to watch, Paramount+ have Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow from 1999, and Bram Stoker’s Dracula from 1992, starring Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder, Anthony Hopkins, and Keanu Reeves.
And with filming finally commencing soon on the long-awaited Gladiator sequel, it’s the perfect time to watch Russell Crowe’s 2000 original!
