The third series of popular Regency period drama Bridgerton debuted on Netflix on May 13 and immediately broke its own viewing records. Netflix shared that the first half of season three recorded over 45 million views (total hours watched divided by running time) worldwide after its May 16 premiere. That’s about 165 million hours of viewing time – in just a few days!
What’s it about this time?
The third season focuses on the friends-to-lovers relationship between the third Bridgerton son, Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), and insecure wallflower Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan), who has long secretly pined for Colin, but the pair had fallen out in Season 2.
