Poirot sequel ‘Death on the Nile’ will now arrive 3 years later than planned!
The long-delayed follow-up to Murder on the Orient Express has hit another setback.
The sequel to 2017’s successful Agatha Christie adaptation sees director Kenneth Branagh return as Hercule Poirot.
The all-star cast of Death on the Nile includes Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Rose Leslie (Downton Abbey), Letitia Wright (Black Panther), Annette Bening (American Beauty), Ali Fazal (Victoria & Abdul), Sophie Okonedo (Christopher Robin), Tom Bateman (Vanity Fair), and Russell Brand.
They’ll also be joined by comedy double-act Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders!
Death on the Nile was originally meant to come out in 2019, but the release was postponed early on until October 2020.
Disney and 20th Century Studios then delayed the movie until last December, amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
Inevitably it was postponed again, with a new date set for 17th September 2021.
The film has now been pushed back once more and now has a release date of 11th February 2022.
Hopefully this new date will stick!
