‘Eiffel’ trailer: French historical romance tells story of the Eiffel Tower
Smash hit movie Eiffel is getting a release in the US next Spring.
Blue Fox Entertainment has acquired US rights to the film, which recently reached over a million admissions at the French box office.
Martin Bourboulon’s romantic new period drama is led by rising English-French star Emma Mackey (Sex Education) and French actor Romain Duris (The Beat That My Heart Skipped).

The official synopsis reads: “Having just finished his collaboration on the Statue of Liberty, celebrated engineer Gustave Eiffel (Duris) is on top of the world.
“Now, the French government is pressuring him to design something spectacular for the 1889 Paris World Fair, but Eiffel simply wants to design the subway.
“Suddenly, everything changes when Eiffel crosses paths with a mysterious woman (Mackey) from his past. Their long lost, forbidden passion inspires him to change the Paris skyline forever.”
Eiffel will arrive in US cinemas in Spring 2022.
Emma Mackey has a busy year ahead, with her Emily Brontë biopic, a new film about the life of Nell Gwynn, and a role in the long-awaited Death on the Nile also coming up.
The North American Premiere of Eiffel was held at COLCOA French Film Festival in Hollywood yesterday.
Blue Fox Entertainment founder James Huntsman commented: “The Eiffel Tower is one of the most recognisable structures in the world and the history behind its creation is equally memorable.
“The film Eiffel is a story of love, heartbreak and risk told beautifully by director Martin Bourboulon with standout performances by Romain Duris and Emma Mackey. With this film, Pathé and the French cinema have once again given us a reason to go back to the theatres.”
Marie-Laure Montironi, Pathé EVP of International Sales, added: “Pathé Films is thrilled to be partnering with Blue Fox Entertainment who are so passionate about the film, and who fell in love with the project from the very beginning.”
