Filming of S3 of Beyond Paradise has begun

Film has started on the eagerly awaited third series of the BBC’s hit crime drama Beyond Paradise. Beyond Paradise is a spin-off of the long-running hit mystery series Death in Paradise

The series was co-commissioned with BritBox International and will be broadcast on the BBC iPlayer and BBC One. S3 will see the Shipton Abbott team facing more mysteries and puzzles as well as navigating difficulties in their personal lives. It will also focus on Humphrey and Martha’s relationship and on their new role as that of foster parents.

Who is in it?

The third series will see the return of beloved cast members Zahra Ahmadi as DS Esther Williams, Dylan Llewellyn as PC Kelby Hartford, Barbara Flynn as Anne Lloyd, Felicity Montagu as Margo Martins, Jade Harrison as CS Charlie Woods, and Melina Sinadinou as Zoe Williams. Jamie Bamber is also coming back as the charming Archie Hughes who returns after his departure at the end of series one.

What can we expect from this series?

As usual, there will be no shortage of cases to keep the team busy, including a dead body found in the river on the county border, a mysterious poisoning, a historic farming feud and even an incident involving spiking the water supply.

Back at home, Martha and Humphrey must overcome unexpected hurdles as foster parents, while the reappearance of Martha’s old flame Archie presents an unexpected challenge. While Esther navigates a surprise encounter in her private life, a health scare for Anne stirs up painful memories, and Kelby embarks on a journey of personal growth.
