‘Game of Thrones’ prequel ‘House of the Dragon’ unveils epic new trailer
The makers of Game of Thrones are back with a brand new spin-off next month!
Based on George R. R. Martin’s book Fire & Blood, House of the Dragon is set 200 years before the events of HBO’s previous hit series.
Game of Thrones launched in 2011 and ran for eight seasons, coming to a controversial end in 2019.
House of the Dragon will tell the story of House Targaryen – the House that gave us the Mother of Dragons herself, Daenerys Targaryen – exploring the events leading to the ‘Dance of the Dragons’ civil war.
Ahead of the show’s much-anticipated appearance at Comic-Con this weekend, HBO has released an epic two and a half minute official trailer, featuring some exciting new footage.
Saturday’s House of the Dragon panel at Comic-Con in San Diego is set to feature actors Paddy Considine (King Viserys Targaryen), Matt Smith (Prince Daemon Targaryen), Olivia Cooke (Alicent Hightower), Emma D’Arcy (Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen), Steve Toussaint (Lord Corlys Velaryon), Eve Best (Princess Rhaenys Targaryen), Fabien Frankel (Ser Criston Cole), Graham McTavish (Ser Harrold Westerling), Milly Alcock (Young Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen), and Emily Carey (Young Alicent Hightower), alongside Game of Thrones creator George R. R. Martin.

The ten-part first season will premiere in the US on HBO and HBO Max on Sundays from 21st August.
House of the Dragon will be broadcast simultaneously in the UK on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV very late each Sunday night, with a repeat airing at a more respectable hour on Monday evenings.
It was revealed last week that another spin-off centred around Game of Thrones character Jon Snow is in development.
Kit Harington is set to reprise his Emmy-nominated role in the proposed series, which is one of seven new Game of Thrones projects that HBO are working on!
Three animated series are also in the pipeline, as well as a stage play exploring the origins of Robert’s Rebellion.
The complete Game of Thrones box set is available on DVD on Amazon.
