‘Poldark’ fans can see Aidan Turner on stage in London next summer

Aidan Turner will make his West End debut in 2018, it’s been confirmed.

The Poldark actor will star in a revival of Martin McDonagh’s The Lieutenant of Inishmore.

Turner will play Mad Padraic, a terrorist deemed too violent to be a member of the IRA.

A satire on terrorism and a reflection on the nature of political violence, The Lieutenant of Inishmore premiered in 2001 at the RSC.

The new production will run at the Noël Coward Theatre in London from 4 July until 8 September, with previews from 23 June.

A fourth season of Poldark is currently filming in Cornwall and will air in the UK on BBC One in summer 2018.
