‘The Confessions of Frannie Langton’ confirms UK air date on ITV1

ITV has announced when The Confessions of Frannie Langton will air on UK television!

The “dark and gripping forbidden love story” is set against the dazzling opulence of Georgian London in 19th century England.

Based on Sara Collins’ acclaimed 2019 novel, the four-part murder-mystery first premiered last December on ITVX.

Until now, however, the series has only been available for UK viewers on the streaming service.

The Confessions of Frannie Langton narrates Frannie’s journey from a Jamaican plantation to the grand Mayfair mansion of celebrated scientist George Benham and his exquisitely beautiful wife, Madame Marguerite Benham.

In a misguided and monstrous gesture, Frannie is gifted to Benham by the man who owns her, John Langton, and she is employed as a maid in the household much to her chagrin.

When’s the release date?

The first episode will air on ITV1 at 9pm on Monday 21 August.

The remaining episodes follow each night over the rest of the week at the same time, with the finale airing at 9pm on Thursday 24 August.
