‘The Crown’ acknowledges Season 3’s cast change in funny new clip – watch!

A new teaser for the third season of The Crown tackles the controversial recast head on.

Netflix’s award-winning period drama series returns later this year with 10 brand new episodes.

Dramatising the reign of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, the show launched in 2016, starring Claire Foy as the Queen.

However, the new season will see the show’s entire cast being replaced by older actors as the story moves further into the second half of the 20th Century.

The Favourite star Olivia Colman is taking over the role of Elizabeth and this newly-released scene doesn’t shy away from her new look!

The fourth season of The Crown recently began filming and it’s already been confirmed who will be playing Princess Diana and who’s been cast as Margaret Thatcher.
