Watch ‘The Durrells’ cast explain what it’s like working with the show’s many animals
PBS has released a lovely video exploring how the cast and crew of The Durrells in Corfu get their animal co-stars to behave on set.
Based upon Gerald Durrell’s classic trilogy of Corfu memoirs, The Durrells launched in April 2016 and tells the story of Louisa Durrell, who decides to uproot her four spirited and unruly children to start a new life in Corfu in the 1930s.
A third season recently concluded in the UK on ITV and will air in the US later this year on PBS.
Watch the video, in which Milo Parker (Gerry) discusses being “intimidated” by a “humongous” pelican and Josh O’Connor (Lawrence) chats about fighting the urge to bring the show’s puppies home with him:
Season 1 and Season 2 are available to buy on DVD now.
ITV confirmed last month that a fourth season of The Durrells in Corfu will begin filming this summer.
