Here’s when ‘The Durrells’ star’s hit BBC series ‘Bodyguard’ will be on Netflix USA

The BBC’s new smash hit Bodyguard makes its way to American screens later this month.

From the makers of Line of Duty, the political thriller series stars Keeley Hawes (The Durrells) and Richard Madden (CinderellaGame of Thrones).

Bodyguard launched in the UK in August and has achieved record-breaking ratings for BBC One, beating ITV’s Vanity Fair on Sunday nights.

The series attracted the highest launch figure for any new UK drama on any channel in the past 12 years and concluded last month with a peak of 11 million viewers.

All six episodes of Bodyguard will be available to watch on Netflix in the USA and globally from Wednesday 24 October.

The official synopsis reads: “Bodyguard tells the fictional story of David Budd (Madden), a heroic but volatile war veteran now working as a Specialist Protection Officer for the Royalty and Specialist Protection Branch of London’s Metropolitan Police Service.

“When he is assigned to protect the ambitious and powerful Home Secretary Julia Montague (Hawes), whose politics stand for everything he despises, Budd finds himself torn between his duty and his beliefs. Responsible for her safety, is he actually her biggest threat?”

Keeley Hawes is currently filming the fourth and final season of The Durrells in Corfu.
