Amazon Prime Video’s new historical movies in December 2023
Amazon Prime Video have announced all December’s latest movies and TV series in the US!
The complete list of additions for the coming month as massive as ever, so here we’ve selected the best titles for American fans of historical dramas, British TV, and classic movies to add to their watch list.
Fantasy movie Stardust is a fun family-friendly treat for the festive period, or there is 1967’s The Dirty Dozen if you’re in the mood for a classic World War II movie.
Wes Anderson’s latest film Asteroid City, set in the 1950s, makes its Amazon Prime debut on 12 December, boasting an incredible ensembles cast which includes Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson, Tilda Swinton, Adrien Brody, Steve Carell, Margot Robbie, and Jeff Goldblum.
And it’s a good month for Western fans, with The Magnificent Seven, Death Rides a Horse, and The Wonderful Country all added at the start of the month.
Last year’s festive British movie Your Christmas or Mine gets a sequel too, with Asa Butterfield (Sex Education) returning for Your Christmas or Mine 2.
You can also catch two of our favourite British actors – Dominic West (The Crown) and Ruth Wilson (Mrs Wilson) – in Showtime’s award-winning thriller series The Affair.
