Winterwatch (available from 1st February 2022)

It may still be cold outside, but Winterwatch is here to add a bit of seasonal warmth. Broadcasting from Norfolk, the Isle of Mull and Northern Ireland, the Winterwatch team takes an in depth look at how Britain’s wildlife is faring up and down the country.

The Sister Boniface Mysteries (available from 8th February 2022)

From the makers of Father Brown and Shakespeare & Hathaway comes a light-hearted murder mystery series starring a Vespa driving, crime solving Catholic nun: Sister Boniface (Lorna Watson, Father Brown, Horrible Histories).

It’s the 1960s and police forensics are rudimentary. Luckily for the residents of Great Slaughter, nestled deep in the British countryside, have a secret weapon. Sister Boniface. This nun might be predisposed to forgive – but she’s also one hell of an amateur detective.

If there’s evidence to be found, Boniface will find it, with a little help from dashing maverick DI Sam Gillespie and buttoned-up Bermudan DS Felix Livingstone, who’s horrified to be stuck in the eccentric world of Great Slaughter.

Murder, They Hope (available from 11th February 2022)

After unmasking killers on a coach trip, an ill-fated cruise and at a creepy campsite, Sian Gibson and Johnny Vegas (Murder on the Blackpool Express, Dial M for Middlesbrough) are back on the case as former tour guides Gemma and Terry, who find themselves embroiled in more hilarious homicides in this three-part comedy mystery sequel Murder, They Hope.

Having decided to quit the coach tour game, the pair are trying, and failing, to become private investigators.

The Beatles and India (available from 15th February 2022)

Inspired by Ajoy Bose’s book, Across the Universe, British Indian music entrepreneur Reynold D’Silva (Audrey, The Ninth Gate) has taken the amazing saga of The Beatles and India further by producing Bose’s directorial debut.

Bose and cultural researcher, co-director, Pete Compton (It was Fifty Years Ago Today!), have created an audio-visual presentation that stands apart from the many documentaries on the band, delving deep into the most crucial period of their evolution from the world’s most famous pop stars into multi-faceted pioneering musical artists.

The Beatles and India features unseen recordings and photos, rare archival footage, eye-witness accounts as well as walkthroughs of the stunning locations in India the band visited.

Traces – Season 2 (available from 22nd February 2022)

Lab assistant Emma Hedges (Molly Windsor, Three Girls) is now training to be a forensic chemist, and on the cusp of seeing her mother’s murder case finally resolved. Daniel (Martin Compston, Line of Duty) is to give evidence against his father.

Will Emma and Daniel’s relationship withstand the pressure? Will justice be served? Meanwhile, professors Sarah Gordon (Laura Fraser, Breaking Bad) and Kathy Torrance (Jennifer Spence, Travelers) are investigating a deadly bombing campaign. Homemade devices are going off around Dundee, with critical clues hidden inside the bombs. Will the team track down the bomber before their identity goes up in smoke?
