2021 was another wonderful year for fans of British historical and period drama series.
Following the disruption to filming schedules in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, many of our favourite shows were back on our screens.
Returning hits included new runs for All Creatures Great and Small, Call the Midwife, Grantchester, Britannia, Endeavour, The Great, and Vienna Blood.
There were brand new shows like The Larkins, Domina, Leonardo, The Nevers, The Irregulars, and Dalgliesh.
And we had some brilliant limited mini-series with The Pursuit of Love, The Serpent, Ridley Road, Anne Boleyn, Stephen, The Pembrokeshire Murders, The North Water, and It’s a Sin.
