‘All Creatures Great and Small’ preview: Season 3 is ‘a completely new chapter’
Filming is now underway on brand new episodes of All Creatures Great and Small!
Based on author James Herriot’s much-loved collection of stories, Channel 5’s hit drama series was renewed for a third and fourth season earlier this year.
The cosy period drama follows the heartwarming and humorous adventures of a young country vet in the Yorkshire Dales in the 1930s.
Season 3 began production this spring in Yorkshire, England.
With six episodes in each of the two upcoming seasons, and Christmas specials for 2022 and 2023 also on the way, fans have another 14 episodes to look forward to over the next couple of years.
But what lies ahead for all our favourite characters?
While we wait for All Creatures Great and Small to return, the cast have some given us some hints about what might be coming up for the Darrowby residents.
In a preview on YouTube for PBS, James Herriot actor Nicholas Ralph reveals that he hopes to see “more good times for James and Helen.”
Rachel Shenton, who plays Helen, added that Season 3 will be “a completely new chapter” for the couple, teasing that we might see “a different side to her that we haven’t seen before.”
Writer and executive producer Ben Vanstone has promised “a bit of a change” for all the main characters as “they take their next step forward in life in whatever way that may be.”
Rather ominously, Mrs Hall actress Anne Madeley suggests that next season will feature “both darkness and light,” as “there are some frightening things on the horizon” with the looming Second World War.
