Matthew Goode has good news and bad news about ‘Downton Abbey’ movie

Downton Abbey star Matthew Goode has been chatting about his involvement in the upcoming movie.

The movie began filming in England last month, with all the main cast expected to reprise their roles and Downton creator Julian Fellowes behind the script.

Matthew Goode (The Crown) has now confirmed that he’ll be back as Henry Talbot.

Henry married Lady Mary in the final episode of Downton Abbey and the pair were last seen expecting their first child, while Henry set up an automobile shop with Tom Branson.

The only bad news is that it doesn’t sound like we’ll be seeing much of the couple together in the movie.

Goode told Radio Times: “I’m just popping in at the end, which is a nice way to do it.”

We’ll have to wait until next September to find out if this is because Mary and Henry have separated or if he’s just busy selling cars somewhere!

While appearing This Morning recently, the actor also commented: “It’s a brilliant story, the cast has gotten bigger, there’s great new faces.”
